Only in Alto Adige the indigenous variety of Lagrein develops its original identity and strength of expression. Lagrein has an elegant and velvety structure that opens inyour mouth hints of chocolate, violets and wood. Soft tannins, light bitter almond tones, youthful freshness, rustic elegance.

Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel at 28°C for 8 days, maturation in large wooden barrels of up to 30-50 hl for at least 6 months.

Vineyards Bozen, 260 m above sea level. Deep, sandy alluvial soils, facing south. Vine with guyot and pergel.
Food Pairing Notes
Goes well with game dishes (venison, chamois...), all types of roast meats, grilled meat dishes, sirloin steak with herb butter, but also pasta dishes and cheeses.
