Averoldi Groppello IGT Provincia Di Brescia DOC 2009
Groppello (86%) is blended with a small percentages of Sangiovese and Marzemino to produce a brambly, spicy red wine with forest floor, cassis, dried raspberry and pipe tobacco aromas. There’s loads of freshly ground black pepper, and the wine is capped by a sour finish.

Excellent with stewed meat, roast of red meats, seasoned cheeses; agreeable also as a meditation wine.
