Musella Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva DOC 2009
Cherries and spice on the nose with a never-ending finish on palate. Finely grinded freshly roasted coffee with dark syrup of black currant as the sugar served with currant mousse and milk chocolate macaroon. Ripe and rich on a full mouth. Soft, fat and pretty with good acidity just behind the richness. Classic blend of 70% Corvina and and Corvinone 20% Rondinella 10% Oseleta. Complete destem aged for 28-40 months in 1/3 new Slovenian oak.

Amarone della Valpolicella DOC
North-east of Verona on the hill that separates Montorio from Valle d’Illasi, Veneto
Aged in for at least four years in oak barrels of 700, 1500 and 1500 liters of various origins and composition and age, mostly from Allier forest. The wine remains at least one year in bottles before release.
The healthiest, ripest bunches of picked grapes undergo a unique drying process (Appassimento) that take place, on cases in a well naturally ventilated loft.

Soil: Calcareous with red clay and tufo
Food Pairing Notes
Excellent with stewed meat, roast of red meats, seasoned cheeses; agreeable also as a meditation wine.
